Poem on Cricket

Poem on Cricket

On fields of green, the players take the stand, With bat in hand, and ball at hand, A game that has captured hearts and minds, For generations of all kinds.

It's cricket, a sport of skill and grace, Where battles are fought at a measured pace, And every ball is a chance to shine, To make a mark, and to define.

The bowler runs in, with a steely gaze, The batsman waits, in a focused daze, And then the ball is released with a spin, A dance of skill, a battle to win.

The crowd erupts, with cheers and applause, As the ball is hit with a mighty force, And the fielder runs, with all their might, To make a catch, in a daring flight.

And when the game is done and won, And the players have given all they've done, It's the spirit of the game that truly shines, A lesson in sportsmanship, for all of time.

For cricket is more than just a game, It's a reflection of life, and all its aims, A chance to learn, to grow, to strive, To be the best, and to truly thrive.
